Robi Davis, a 75 year old woman. She's been the victim of abuse, witnessed it more times than you can imagine. Fed up with repeating news stories, she comes to the realization that people will drive by rather than stop.
So, she'll be the one to stop. Stop to render aid. Stop the abuser from ever hurting someone ever again.
Is she a hero? Do her actions make her a criminal? That's something for you to decide.
Either way, society has made her and other senior citizens, invisible.
I started writing in the 3rd grade, when my poem won 1st place at our local county fair, I was intent to be a writer. Someday.
After adding song lyrics, short stories, having a regular column in high school and college papers, I stopped writing for years.
Working as a 911 dispatcher and paramedic gave me PTDS as well as memories to draw from. As did my own life from my own makings.
Once asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, my response was "hit man". Well that changed over the years. Now, my character is a vigilante.
